What were they thinking?
Once the news got out that Sabrina Carpenter taped her Feathers video at a Catholic church outrage grew. HuffPost says there were 50 people inside the building watching and they were appalled and considered the video a desecration of the sanctuary.
Mixing the holy with what is considered profane has been frowned upon for centuries and the Diocese of Brooklyn said it was “appalled" by the video, which was shot at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish in Williamsburg.
Carpenter and a Catholic priest come under fire
Msgr. Gigantiello is said to have disregarded “policy regarding the filming on Church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script.”
He was relieved of his administrative oversight of the parish a few days later and apologized on the church's Facebook page. Sabrina Carpenter has also been "Slammed" for making such a video inside of a Catholic church.
