Oh great Pumpkin Where are you?

If you grew up as a baby boomer in Virginia you probably went trick-or-treating door to door. You more than likely dressed up in costumes and masks and knocked on your neighbors' doors. You held out your bag and received candy and goodies that lasted at least a week. As you went on your way you ran into friends who were also trick or treating. You also probably watched It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown on your local CBS affiliate.

Never could we have imagined a day would come when children would be doing Trunk or Treat and we certainly did not foresee the Charlie Brown holiday classic would not be available free on network television but here we are. Like Linus, you might have been saying for the past few years "Oh Great Pumpkin Where are you"?

Will Apple TV + offer free service to non-subscribers again?

If you don't own the DVD of It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown the only way you can watch it is through Apple TV+. If you have this streaming service all the Peanuts classics are available all year. If not you can watch free by obtaining a trial subscription which does not have to be paid for up front.

In 2022 Apple allowed nonsubscribers to view each of the Peanuts holiday classics free for 3 days near the respective holidays. It's the Great Pumpkin aired at the end of October, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving came on just before Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas ran near the holiday.

There has been no announcement from Apple TV+ as of this date but there is still an entire month to go. Be on the lookout for updates because there is nothing like watching Linus and Lucy in the Pumpkin patch year after year. It brings out our inner child.
