The Rock unwinds in Charlottesville
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gained his claim to fame as a WWE pro wrestler whose catchphrase was "Can you smell what the rock is cooking." The Rock also owns XFL, which he turned into a profitable business when it was dying. In 2019 he revealed via Twitter/X that he is enjoying life in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Johnson lives in a 12-million-dollar estate on over 180 acres of property. The 8,000-square-foot house contains 7 bedrooms, huge 12- and 14-foot ceilings, ginormous windows, and five fireplaces. The home also overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains, which adds to the property's value. His ex-wife Dany Garcia purchased the adjoining home and property earlier this year.
Wrestling is in his DNA but he has other talents
Dwayne's father was pro wrestler Rocky Carroll. On his mother's side, he is part of the Anoa'i family of professional wrestlers which includes Roman Reigns, Rikishi, the Wild Samoans, and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso). Since 2007 Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has starred in movies including Black Adam, The Mysterious Island, and Jumanji: The Next Level.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has lived in Charlottesville for a while stating he has made Virginia his home "for years now." In 2017 fans were surprised to see him outside of a local gym that he frequents which indicates he is not a reclusive celeb but mingles with the public.
