Kel Mitchell balances pastoring and acting
"Welcome to Good Burger the home of the Good Burger can I take your order"? This was a popular line uttered by Kel Mitchell that originated as a sketch on the Nickelodeon series “All That” where Mitchell starred as Ed (no last name) and Keenan Thompson portrayed his friend and co-worker Dexter Reed. The sketch became a film that was a box-office success.
Good Burger was made for only 8 million and grossed close $24 million against a reported budget of $8 million. After the film, Mitchell became a youth pastor and travels the nation speaking to young people. In 2020 he spoke at Convocation at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
