Wendy is seeking treatment for her alcohol use
Virginia fans of Wendy Williams there is a new update on the current situation of the former talk show host. On Monday her son Kevin Hunter Jr. explained to the US Sun that his mother's body does not process liquor at the same “rate” as someone with a “normal” system would.
We’ve spoken about it. I’ve said, ‘This is one thing where you don’t know how to approach it normally, and that’s fine,’ and it’s gotten to a point where, yes, it could have that effect that it might be fatal because it affects her way worse than a normal person since it stays in her system,” he explained.
Wendy is making headlines but few seem concerned with her well-being
Hunter revealed Williams is currently in a treatment center trying to deal with her alcohol use and this was confirmed by an unnamed rep for the former talk show host. Wendy's manager Will Selby told Page Six the following.
“Wendy is at a facility doing her best to be her best,” her manager, Will Selby, told Entertainment Tonight, who first reported the news, in a statement Wednesday. “She’s taking it day by day.”
Selby said in his opinion people put out “negative information” about Wendy without ever asking how she is really doing.
“Why don’t we just stop for a moment and just say, ‘Hey, how is she? Is she doing OK today?'” he added. “Why is that not the focus? Why isn’t that what we’re talking about on a daily basis?”
In a video. Selby questioned why Hunter would broadcast that his mother was near death to the news media instead of being by her side so there seems to be some infighting. In truth Wendy's devoted fans especially those in the Commonwealth do care about her well-being and have been posting their concerns on social media for the past year. Not everyone is milking the situation for profit or trashing Wendy Williams. Some people are talking and reading the stories because they do care.
