Buc-ee's is coming to Virginia
According to WSLS 10 a Buc-ee's is planning on opening in 2027 in New Kent County Virginia. I had never heard of this chain of travel centers and was not even sure if the correct pronunciation was Buck-eye or Buck-E but it is the latter Buck-E. This store chain is being billed as "the intimate gas station and convenience store" that is well-staffed. If you don't like crowds this is not a place you will enjoy because these stores stay full of people.
Buc-ee's is a chain of country stores, gas stations, and Tesla Superchargers created and owned by Arch "Beaver" Aplin III, headquartered in Lake Jackson, Texas The chain was first founded in 1982 in Clute, Texas and began expansion with its first travel center in Luling, Texas in 2001.
Buc-ee's holds two world records
The website indicates that Buc-ee's travel centers have the cleanest restrooms in America and hold two world records. They have the longest car wash in the world with 255 feet of conveyor and their New Brunswick location is the world's largest convenience store at 66,335 square feet. There are 34 locations throughout Texas, three in Alabama, two in Florida, two in Georgia, and one in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
The new Buc-ee’s in New Brunswick is anticipated tobe located at the exit 211 interchange along Interstate 64. The plan is to construct a 74,000 SF store with 120 fueling positions, 557 parking spaces, 24 Tesla charging spaces and 10 bus/RV parking spaces.
