Princess Kate lets the public in her her private moments

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton is often photographed during formal affairs or royal events and is always dressed immaculately. She recently shared an image on Instagram that allowed her followers to see her just being a mom. Kate was in a tree with her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis and it is adorable. Tatler reveals the image of the family was from Mother's Day 2022.

It's refreshing to see the Princess of Wales in an informal setting spending time with her children and hopefully, the public will begin to see more of the maternal side of the future Queen. Kate seems to embrace her future in a way that her husband's late mother Princess Diana was not able to and accepts roayl life in a manner that Prince Harry has chosen not to.

Princess Kate's moves are closely watched

Princess Kate was most recently trending because it was believed she broke royal protocol by not giving a curtsy when she saw her father-in-law King Charles III. What was not known was whether or not Kate had seen the King earlier in the day and already curtsied. Prior to this, the future Queen was filmed playfully touching her husband Prince William on the backside.

Royal watchers are saying that William and Kate's children will ride with them in a carriage on coronation day behind the one that will carry the King and Queen. Some news outlets are speculating that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet the children of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not yet been invited or will not be allowed to come to the May 6 ceremony but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Portuguese man o' war are washing up on Virginia beaches

Portuguese Man o’ war are a collection of genetically identical lifeforms that look like jellyfish and function together as one being. The name comes from the fact that as a group these animals resemble an 18rh century Portuguese battleship. Man o’ war have an inflated air sack that is used to keep the sea creatures on top of the water and helps them navigate the oceans. Virginia Beachgoers from the Outer Banks to the Chesapeake Bay are reporting seeing these organisms whose sting is pretty painful but not deadly to humans.

Governor George Patton's grandson and Governor Younkin were on hand at D-Day Memorial. There was a special commemoration of the slain D-Day soldiers on Memorial Day 2023, May 29th at the War Memorial in Bedford, Virginia. On June 6, Governor Glen Younkin was on hand and spoke at the 79th commemoration of the invasion of Normandy at the Memorial. Actor David Huddlestonpassed away on August 2, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born on September 17, 1930, to Ismay Dooley Huddleston and Lewis Melvin Huddleston. He was actually born in the tiny town of Villamont which is about 10 miles away from Vinton. Three witnesses say the pilot of a business plane that took off from Tenessee flew over Washington DC then crashed in Virginia was slumped over as if unconscious. 10th Street from Williamson Road to Orange Ave is becoming more dangerous

WDBJ 7 is reporting that a "serious" accident has closed all lanes of Orange Ave from 10th Street to Gainsboro. No details have been given and the exact location of the accident is not known at this point. What is a reality for people living in the area is that ever since Roanoke City removed the traffic light at 11th Street and Orange when they widened 10th Street there have been a number of accidents in the area since then.

The Queen of Steam is back in the "Noke" Some people may have been singing The Rimshot's hit song 7654321- Blow Your Whistle on Saturday, June 3 in Downtown Roanoke because the 611 steam locomotive returned to the Star City from Pennsylvania. Virginia families with children receiving free and reduced lunch will receive a final P-EBT benefit in July

Some Virginia families will receive a P-EBT summer bonus. It was determined in May that COVID was no longer a Public Health Emergency and P-EBT benefits were cut off. Some Virginia families have been struggling since their monthly pandemic EBT stipend has been discontinued. For specific families in the Commonwealth there will be one last bonus for qualifying families, from the Virginia Department of Social Services, A final Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer payment will arrive this summer but only for families of children who are receiving certain benefits.

RCPD and Fire and EMS rescue a dog from the New River

In Roanoke, for the past week, a bear has been roaming in Northwest City and evading WIldlife Control officials. It was initially spotted at Round Hill Elementary School and on Thursday afternoon had made it's way a few miles away and was seen at Central Baptist Church. That same day Radford local authorities had their own adventure with an animal who was rescued from the jaws of death.

We now have validation that when US agencies work together large numbers of these teens and young children can be recovered. RAM House offers a challenge to the Roanoke Valley to help the homeless

Roanoke Area Ministries also known as the RAM House is offering a challenge to the Roanoke Valley to assist them in offering help to the most vulnerable in the area. RAM is in need of a new building due to an increase in homelessness in the area and the current building at 824 Campbell Ave SW is no longer able to fill the growing needs of the agency. RAM serves breakfast to the homeless and lunch to anyone who is in need and they are open 365 days each year. They feed an average of 200 people a day just for lunch and have helped about 2,000 individuals with over $300,000 in financial assistance that prevents them from being homeless.
