Will Thomas every be redeemed?

Matthew Atkinson has been portraying Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful since 2019 and very rarely have viewers seen the best side of him except his creative genius as a designer. Each time those who watch the CBS soap believe he has turned over a new leaf Thomas does something even more despicable. B&B fans are saying that the soap needs to cut him loose or change his life for the better.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans love Atkinson but do not care for the way his character conducts himself. Now it looks as if instead of paying for his latest offenses against his family he will have to step in and save the day. On Thursday Steffy Forrester (Jackie Wood) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) were discussing the possibility of Thomas working remotely to save the Hope For the Future Line. Everyone agrees he is the best choice but no one wants him around because he cannot be trusted.

Paris Buckingham (Diamond White0 believes Thomas should be given another chance but when Hope first brought it up Eric Forrester (John McCook) was skeptical about bringing his grandson back into the fold. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is out of town and is still pretty angry with his son. If, however, when he returns Steffy and Hope are in agreement they might be able to sway him to give Thomas one more chance. If an olive branch is extended to Thomas what will it mean for his future. Can he make permanent change or should fans of The Bold and the Beautiful be bracing themselves for more dram?

Why does the sun appear to dance on Easter morning?. It is customary for local churches in Roanoke and Botetourt County as well as those around the world to hold Easter Sunrise services to acknowledge the women the Bible says found Christ's tomb empty at sunrise. The tradition is for various churches to come together under one roof and prior to COVID, the host church would have breakfast. When I was a child local churches gathered in Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetary and went back to the host church that year for breakfast but I never heard anything about the Easter morning sun dancing until about 5 years ago.

Five decades of memories for The Young and the Restless. The Roanoke Times recently acknowledged the 50th anniversary of The Young and the Restless which debuted on CBS on March 26, 1973. Reporter Mark Kennedy quoted Laualee Bell who portrays Christine Willaims on the soap and whose parents WIlliam and Lee Phillip Bell created the daytime series.

There have been several missing teens in the Roanoke Valley and the surrounding area since January, First, there was autistic teen Elijah Campbell who was later found safe, and next Allaynah Myers. who went missing in 2019 but was later found safe. There have been no updates on Myers recent disappearance so the public does not know if she as found or if authorities are still looking. Now police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing adult Jean Miller who has not been seen in almost a week.

The Chincoteague Pony an Assateague wild pony now represents the State of Virginia

Virginia has some fascinating new mascots of sorts. Chincoteague is a town on the island that bears the same name, located in Virginia’s Eastern Shore region and a gateway to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, on Assateague Island, where wild Chincoteague ponies roam. The origin is not certain as the native population of North American horses died off during the ice ages of the Pleistocene era. The Wild Bull Elk once roamed the hillsides in Virginia. Deer, Elk, Moose, Antelope', and Reindeer all come from the Cervidae family so the next time you hear the song Home on the Range consider that there was more than one type of this breed playing along with the buffalo. " Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play". Although they are from the same family the Wild Bull Elk is much larger than deer and now has been brought back to Virginia from the brink of extinction.

Beitzah a roasted hard boiled egg is an important part of the Passover meal

There are two traditions that take place during the Spring and sometimes they overlap. Ressurection Sunday observes the day believers in Jesus say He rose from the dead. It is on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox so the date fluctuates. My middle grandson told me today that the bees are out but what he was seeing was not actually bumble bees. Southwest Virginians have fond memories of Blockbuster Video which is rumored to possibly be making a comeback.

Blockbuster Video was the home away from home for many people in this area and just thinking about it brings back many warm memories. There are two known types of Skunks in Virginia the small spotted skunk that resides in the mountains and the skunk with the white stripe that can be a pest. Big Meadows trails and Rapidan Road remain closed due to wildfire at Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park blaze cleanup in underway. If you were about to make a trek through Shenandoah National Park this weekend you will have to change your plans. WRIC in Luray is reporting that several areas of the park remain closed due to workers cleaning up after a wildfire burned 13 acres on Thursday. Electricity was cut in the Big Meadow area out of concern that the blaze was close to powerlines and Big Meadows trails as well as Rapidan Road remain closed.

Take a look at the spectacular Northern Light show that graced the Old Dominion on Thursday night

The closest I have ever been to seeing the Northern Lights is in the holiday movie Polar Express. On Thursday night March 23, however, they could be seen in Virginia and surrounding areas. Down on the corner at the fork in the road anything could happen

CCR's Down on the Corner brings back past memories. Today I heard one of my all-time favorite songs: The 1969 hit Down on the Corner by Creedence Clearwater Revival. This brought back memories of a corner in my hometown Blue Ridge Virginia where I have a number of varied memories. If you drive down 460 East about 12 miles from Roanoke you will see Blue Ridge Springs Road on the right. It's about one block long and you come to the corner which was sort of a crossroads. To the left you drove up a hill where the majority of Black families lived and as I mentioned in other articles it was referred to as Ni**er Hill.

Virginia is rich in tall tales and unsolved mysteries. Urban legends, folklore, and tall tales abound in Virginia and perhaps you have heard of some of them like the Beal Treasure, The Bunny Man, the Vampire of Hollywood Cemetary or The Woman in Black in Roanoke. I was reminded of one story today from my childhood only this one did not spread but remained within a small group of family and neighbors.
