Days fans are dazed by what has taken place

Now that Days of Our Lives has officially joined the Peacock streaming service nothing has been said about a third installment of Beyond Salem. In part 2 Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) was shown to be alive and Soap Opera Network indicates that Bo and Hope Brady (Kristian Alphonso) will both reprise their roles on DOOL this year.

DOOL viewers enjoyed Beyond Salem but were never clear on the purpose except that on Peacock there were not the same regulations and censorship as on NBC. Some fans were offended when during the Christmas special the men stripped to the tune of We Three Kings which is a Christian Hymn about the birth of Christ. Now that Days of Our Lives is officially on Peacock and Bope is returning some fans wonder if the purpose of Behoynd Salem was simply to get viewers to watch the streaming service.

DOOL viewers wonder what the fate of Beyond Salem will be

DOOL was not forthcoming with viewers and threw them a curve ball when announcing the change to Peacock which had been in the works for months. While Bo and Hope remain a popular couple Days fans are confused because each said they would not return to the soap. Reckell actually asked that his character be killed off because he could not bear anyone else in the role while Alphonso implies she was not being given the type of storylines worthy of a soap veteran.

The first spin-off and the Christmas episode were fantasies of things that were not taking place in Salem. Beyond Salem 2 connected its plot to things that were taking place in real-time on NBC. Now that Bo and Hope are scheduled to return to Days of Our Lives full time does this indicate that there will be no more need for Beyond Salem? The viewers can only watch and wait and hope for truthful updates about what comes next.
