Docuseries trailer has been released
A trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, has been released. Titled Keeping Up With the Sussexes! the trailer reveals the docuseries will have six episodes and show Harry and Meghan's side "of their high-profile love story."
The series will explore the beginning days of their relationship and the challenges that led to the couple feeling forced to step back from their full-time royal duties. The docuseries description is as follows: "With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other."
People reveals that the docuseries is being spearheaded by Oscar-nominated director Liz Garbus, who has worked on documentary films, including "Love, Marilyn and What Happened, Miss Simone?" AN exact release date has not been announced but it will be sometime in December.
In the trailer, Prince Harry says: "No one sees what's happening behind closed doors," "I did everything I could to protect my family." Meghan says: "When the stakes are this high, does it make more sense to hear our story from us?" It's been reported that the couple faced death threats and Meghan endured racist attacks while in the UK. Perhaps when they give their side of the story there will be more understanding of why they felt they had no choice but to move to the US.
