Alley Mills does not want to disappoint

Soaps in Depth is reporting that Alley Mills recently dished to Soap Opera Digest about her new role as Heather Webber on General Hospital. The veteran actress took on the character of the craziest woman in Port Charles when Robin Mattson was unable to return to the soap due to recovering from hip surgery.

This year has been rough on GH actors as Charles Shaughnessy ( Victor Cassadine) also had a hip replacement and Nacy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis ) had major back surgery, There have also been at least a dozen cast members who have been out because of COVID or other issues since January. Mills says she was concerned about portraying such a legendary character and wanted to do justice to Mattson as well as the General Hospital fans.

General Hospital viewers are enjoying Mills's portrayal of Heather

Soap viewers can be very critical of recasts but this new version of Heather is delighting those who enjoy the ABC soap. Mills said she watched old episodes of General Hospital to get a feel for the character and fans are saying they love what the actress is doing. Webber is just as zany as when Mattson portrayed her and does to miss a beat.

She flirted with Dr. Hamilto Finn (Michael Easton) while making cryptic remarks about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and threatened Cameron Webber in a teasing manner as she was eating her famous BLT sandwich at Kelly's diner. Next week on General Hospital Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampragna) will pay Heather a visit and try to find out what happened the night the police transport vehicle crashed and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes escaped.

General Hospital spoilers say Webber will give the police detective some answers in exchange for something else which might be another BLT. Now that fans know Alley Mills has not replaced Robin Mattson they can settle in and enjoy this version of kooky Heather Webber who no doubt has more tricks up her sleeve.
