Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are house hunting
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are house hunting again because they desire more privacy. The Santa Barbara News-Press said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are searching for a home in an exclusive area of Santa Barbara called Hope Ranch. According to Realtor.com, as of August 2022, the median listing for a home in that neighborhood was $6M.
The couple moved into their current dwelling place in 2020 shortly after Mexit when they left the UK for the States. The $14 million estate has nine bedrooms and 19 bathrooms and is on 7.4 acres with views of the Pacific Ocean. The house has a spa, gym, wine cellar, private theater, swimming pool, and separate guesthouse where Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, stays when she visits from Los Angeles.
Where the royals are concerned privacy is a necessity but it's not known if Meghan and Harry were having problems in their current residence. The couple had said they hoped their privacy would be respected so their neighbors would not be affected. Now that the Sussexes are no longer working royals they do not have the security that was offered when they were in the UK.
Security is always an issue with Meghan and Harry
The lack of physical security could place the couple at greater risk so it's no wonder they desire to live in seclusion. It's quite possible that the former full-time working royals might already have found a new home. The palace removed security from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after they stopped being working royals and the couple had to pay for their own protection.
The couple has a lot on their plate as they are also catching heat because they desire to edit their Netflix project which has people wondering what is being edited out. Now that their children are getting older Prince Harry and Meghan Markle certainly will be concerned with the safety of Archie and Lilibet.
