It's that spooky time of year again

Blue Ridge Nighmares opened on Friday, September 30th with over 50 paid actors taking part to give you a scary evening. The scenery is based on past history in the Star City that older Roanoke residents are sure to remember. The action takes place at an old warehouse at 1910 9th Street SE. The annual event will showcase relics of Roanoke like the old Clover Creamery, Mick or Mack, the Hotel Roanoke, and the old Roanoke Memorial hospital.

It costs $30.00 to walk through the haunted house and see all the spooky attractions. The fee is only $20.00 on Sundays and Thursdays. When someone questioned the price on the Facebook page the response was that the money supports arts, history, and education in "Our beautiful home".The mastermind behind this Halloween event is Anthony Giordano, a New York and Hollywood Creative Director and Special Effects Artist. The Blue Ridge Nightmares haunted house/haunted attraction fills its 60,000 sq. ft warehouse with "exciting, entertaining, fun characters for thrill-seekers"
