It's time to go to Go Fest
Roanoke’s GO Fest is sponspored by Anthem will take place Downtown this October, and organizers are announcing a new partnership that they hope will connect more people with outdoor spaces in the Star City. Organizers told WFIr's Emma Thompson that this year’s festival will offer new attractions with old favorites. From October 13-16 you will be able to wander, explore and discover the treasure of being otuside.
GO Fest is not the typical sit down and enjoy festival as attendees are encouraged to get involved and participate. For three days you will be able to wander through downtown Roanoke and participate in numerous outdoor activities including , joining a race, test driving a bike, demo a stand-up paddleboard, learn to fly cast, and sample craft beer all in one afternoon.

You can ex[lore the world of outdoor sports by watching films from the Banff Mountain Film Festival or enjoy a pro-athlete show. Discover a community of enthusiasts for virtually any outdoor passion and find yourself at home in the Roanoke region’s outdoors.
The schedule is as follows: Friday– 5:00-8:00 p.m., followed by the Banff Mountain Film Festival
Saturday– 10:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m., followed by the Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears Benefit Concert
Sunday– 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
The motto is "Watch It, Try It, Race It, Live It!" This schedule has all the activities, races, shows, and demos that are currently scheduled to take place.
