Bo and Hope are daytime icons

During the early 1980's Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) became the most popular super couple on daytime television. Their wedding in England was the highest-rated episode of Days of Our Lives at that time. Reckell and Alfonso won many awards as a couple and traveled together to meet their legions of fans. Bo died of a brain tumor in 2015 and Hope left Salem in 2020. The portrayers of both characters indicated in interviews that their time on DOOL was over.

Soap fans were elated when it was announced that "Bope" would be reunited on Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem2 on Peacock and were wondering how it would all go down. Reckell had stated that he wanted Bo to die because he could not bear to see a recast in the role he originated and Alfonso said she was "done" with the NBC soap. To the delight of their fans both agreed to be a part of Beyond Salem 2 and now the question is what the future hold for these two?

Bo and Hope reunite in heaven

In this second installment of the spin-off series, Hope was shot, died, and went to heaven. She had a beautiful reunion with Bo and their son Zach Brady (Scott Shilstone) who died as a child and now is an adult. "Bope" danced to their signature song Tonight I celebrate my love for you by Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack just before Hope was sent back to earth. At the end of the finale of the five-part miniseries, Bo came out of a hyperbaric chamber.

It seems he was granted a second chance and allowed to come to earth again. Fans are ecstatic at this turn of events but wonder how the cliffhanger will evolve? Will Bo and Hope only be available on Peacock in future installments of Beyond Salem or will they transition back to Salem on the original NBC series? Reckell explained in a recent interview that he left his popular character to spend time with his daughter before she began her adult life. He moved to New Zealand but now has returned to the United States.

Will Bope reunite on Peacock and or in Salem?

The fact that Bo came out of the hyperbaric chamber has encouraged fans to believe he will resurface again on Peacock and or NBC. Devotees of Bope are probably not going to settle for an occasional appearance on the spin-off series and will be campaigning for Alfonso and Reckell to return to Salem. Many viewers said they cried when Bo died of a brain tumor in Hope's arms in 2015. Now that it appears he has been granted another chance at life his loyal followers are going to want as much of the actor and his character as they can get.

Alfonso has said she would consider returning to Days of Our Lives if she was offered the right storyline so there is a possibility of a real reunion in Salem. Fans can only stay tuned for updates to find out if "Brady" and his Fancy Face" will have the ultimate soap reunion.
