This Hollywood bar had all the right decor and atmosphere but was lacking the energy

I know that bars aren't quite fully reopened to their original state post-COVID, but my experience at The North End in Hollywood was still surprising. I went with a friend at 8pm on a weekend night and was surprised that the bar was completely empty. That was a shame because the bar itself was really cool. The lighting was low, the decor was lounge-like and they had a huge back space that was a patio with a covering and a real fireplace. The seating was private and comfortable but we didn't know if we should stay or not because nobody was there.

We heard that it gets busier later in the night, so maybe it's best to go at the end of your evening. We got whiskey cocktails and they were both made really well. I'd say it's worth checking out, but maybe will be a bit more fun later this summer once more people are going to bars.
