‘The Song of Achilles’ is the book that left me sobbing in the end.

During summer, I got extra time, and I was free, so I started reading books. I read this book called 'The Song of Achilles', a gay love story between Achilles and Patroclus, childhood friends, and how their relationship changed into a love story. There is the introduction of Greek gods in the novel, but it is not too magical, and it is fiction, but it is easy to fantasize about it. There are certain movies and books on Achilles that portray him as a warrior, but Achilles' soft and loving side was the area of focus in this book. Madeline Miller, the author of the book, beautifully wrote the character of Patroclus, who is the exiled son of a king and has no reputation. Still, on the other side, Achilles is a mortal son with an excellent reputation. As the story advances, there is more interaction between the lovers and a set of tragedies that fall between them. This book is highly recommended.
