Ocean Breeze Water Park in Virginia Beach Review--Was It Worth It?

Channelocity

Kids all around Hampton Roads are headed back to start the school year. As the weather cools off, many families are trying to squeeze in that last bit of fun before schedules fill up and the sun hides away for the fall.

We decided to check out Ocean Breeze and give our honest review!

All About Ocean Breeze Waterpark

Ocean Breeze Waterpark has over 30 slides and attractions including a one million gallon wave pool, quarter-mile tubing river, pirate-themed water playground for the littlest buccaneers, and new for 2021, Operation Splashdown, a six-story family raft ride!

Ocean Breeze is the only full-scale waterpark in the area and it's conveniently located 2 miles south of the Virginia Beach, Virginia, Oceanfront

Cabanas and poolside VIP seating are available for reservation throughout the waterpark. We decided to book one of Ocean Breeze's VIP Seating for $89.99. This pricing included two lounge chairs with an overhanging cover. Exclusive menu choices with our own server, and access to the large wave pool.

The VIP cabana purchase price was in addition to our entry fee. For two adults and a child 6 years old during the week cost us $87.98 for entry.

Ocean Breeze offers free parking, life jackets, general seating, sunscreen and tubes, which is a great bonus.

Throughout the park, there are 4 quick service restaurants and 2 bars and grills as well as treats like Dole Whip.

We tried the chicken tenders, funnel cake fries, IPA beers, and hot dogs. The funnel cake fries did not disappoint and the beverages were top-notch. The total spent on food and beverages was $130 for a family of three.

After a day of fun, we highly recommend this local spot for a day of fun with the family!

If you want to save on prices, a season pass gives you unlimited visits all summer long, exclusive benefits, and extended hours in the park!

Plan your visit! Check out our summer safety guidelines before you arrive at the waterpark:

Ocean Breeze's official website shares the following message: Ready to float down the quarter-mile Adventure River? How about another turn, or four, on the monster slide complex Neptune’s Revenge? Maybe the thought of just sitting poolside with a funnel cake in one hand and a book in the other makes you break into a full grin.

Our zero depth entry million-gallon wave pool gives you the option to ride the waves or relax in the shallow end. Even the littlest buccaneers can go on a high-seas adventure in our water playground with a pint-sized pirate ship and tipping bucket in Hook’s Lagoon.

No matter how old, young or daring—you will get more smiles per gallon from your visit to Ocean Breeze Waterpark.
