Texas Gov. Abbott sends buses of unlawful migrants back to Washington D.C.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is declaring war on Biden's "open border" policies.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced it is officially ending Title 42, at the end of May. Title 42 was enacted during the pandemic and limited migrants' entry to the U.S. on the basis of a public health emergency.

Recently, The Department of Homeland Security reported that anticipate they'll receive up to 18,000 migrants a day if the ban is lifted.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's Stance Against Unlawful Immigrants

In a recent statement, Abbott said:

"To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who’ve been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington DC."

Abbott claims the burden of the large influx of migrants is falling on cities and they are not equipped well enough to handle them. Chief of Texas's Division of Emergency Management, Nim Kidd said they're prepared to facilitate as many buses as necessary to bus migrants to D.C.

Furthermore, Abbott argues that Biden's immigration stance is dangerous. For example, 10,000 Texas National Guard members have been deployed to apprehend immigrants illegally crossing into the United States.

He plans on running rehearsals to prepare for any attempt of overwhelming the Texas border. He warns:

"'If you're a caravan organizer, and you think you can overwhelm a site of entry, we’ll be waiting for you."

Additionally, the governor is enacting a 'zero-tolerance policy' for smugglers trying to sneak migrants into the country. He's implementing search procedures for every vehicle that tried to cross the border.

Opponents of Abbott's plan argue that he's shipping them to the ideal place to be welcomed to America. Allegedly, volunteer groups are waiting for them once they arrive in D.C. from Texas.

Texas residents, do you agree with the Governor's plan of action? Or do you think Abbott shouldn't bus migrants to Washington D.C.? Let us know in the comments!
