Ghostbusters Suite at The Curtis Hotel in Denver, Colorado
A recent family staycation took us to Denver's Curtis Hotel to stay in the Ghostbuster suite. My 5 year old son, Everett, is a big fan of the movie and we couldn't wait to see his reaction to the themed room. Our first impression was the “Slimmer Green” flooring that started moving under our feet as well as a wall mural featuring all the characters. Another memorable moment was catching Vigo the Carpathian on the bathroom wall. Some extra highlights include the impressive 13th-floor city views and checking out the other themed floors. Grabbing breakfast at the Corner Office next door was the perfect way to finish off the weekend before heading home. The Curtis has numerous themed rooms -- everything from a comic book inspired room to a chick flick themed room -- so take a peek at the website to see rooms are available if Ghostbusters aren't your style.

My passion for travel was unlocked when I spent some years living across Europe and South America. I've never been one to shy away from a new adventure, be it swimming with pigs in the Bahamas, bird watching in the Galapagos or Heli-Hiking in British Columbia. And while I used to mostly travel solo, I now like to hit the road with my 4-year-old son, 1-year-old-daughter and husband in tow. The best part of travel to me now is getting to see the world through their eyes. Whether they are petting goats during an Oregon farm stay or making their very own pizza in Idaho, their enthusiasm and joy never fails to remind me of why I love travel.
