A Couple's Getaway In Huntington Beach: Best Things To Try With Your Partner
I’m only half kidding when I tell my husband, T.J., that we need to move to Huntington Beach in Orange County, California. My decision came after we spent four nights here on a romantic getaway. Our almost 2-years-old son stayed back in Colorado with family, which meant we could travel the way we used to: with any adventure at the tip of our fingertips. Don’t get me wrong, I love our family-friendly vacations, but to be focused on sports like surfing this time around was a welcome change. And it was so fun for us to experience something active and challenging together and be able to cheer each other on and laugh (or should I say encourage) when a wave got the best of us. Surfing was just one of the many activities we enjoyed here. Tune in to find out what else we recommend you add to your list.
My passion for travel was unlocked when I spent some years living across Europe and South America. I've never been one to shy away from a new adventure, be it swimming with pigs in the Bahamas, bird watching in the Galapagos or Heli-Hiking in British Columbia. And while I used to mostly travel solo, I now like to hit the road with my 4-year-old son, 1-year-old-daughter and husband in tow. The best part of travel to me now is getting to see the world through their eyes. Whether they are petting goats during an Oregon farm stay or making their very own pizza in Idaho, their enthusiasm and joy never fails to remind me of why I love travel.
