Boise, Idaho, Family Travel Guide: Top 10 Things To Do
Our family trip to Boise, Idaho, started with the Giraffe Encounter at the Boise Zoo, where Everett got to share lettuce and giggles with the giraffes. We also interacted with the goats and enjoyed the carousel and playgrounds. Next, we got to visit a hands-on museum, the Discovery Center of Idaho, where Everett was mesmerized by giant bubbles, a funhouse mirror, and lots of experiments. The rest of the trip included a visit to the World Center for Birds of Prey, where you can have one-of-a-kind interactions with hawks, eagles, falcons, and vultures, go on a biking tour, and eat at some of the best places in Boise. Check out our family adventure here. We’re already planning the next one back.
My passion for travel was unlocked when I spent some years living across Europe and South America. I've never been one to shy away from a new adventure, be it swimming with pigs in the Bahamas, bird watching in the Galapagos or Heli-Hiking in British Columbia. And while I used to mostly travel solo, I now like to hit the road with my 4-year-old son, 1-year-old-daughter and husband in tow. The best part of travel to me now is getting to see the world through their eyes. Whether they are petting goats during an Oregon farm stay or making their very own pizza in Idaho, their enthusiasm and joy never fails to remind me of why I love travel.
