Since I started high school, I wanted to get a job to gather extra money for myself. So, after hunting for a week, I got a job at a café known as Corner Bakery Café, which is near my house. I had to work in shifts so that my school time won’t be disturbed. I got hired for 250 dollars per week, which was satisfactory initially, but doing all the work was also challenging. I had to get up at 5 am and reach there by 6 am and arrange all the items on display ranging from pastries to biscuits. I also had to do basic maths to calculate the bills from the last day. Then, I had to go to school at 8 am. Again, at 4 pm, I had to work in the shop and pack the items, and sometimes billing was also my responsibility. I had to work till 7:30, and then I was free to go. Going to school and a job is difficult, but it eventually pays you off and is essential for personal growth.
