(ATLANTA) - Bargain hunters in Atlanta are slated to get the best deals in a few weeks due to an excess of merchandise from designer brands.

According to NBC News via Today, retailers are gearing up to sell high quality clothes and shoes at a lower cost to you.

Due to the supply chain fiasco, retailers have an influx of seasonal clothing and products that they're looking to get off their hands. According to the Wall Street Journal, 101 shipping containers have been unloaded while 40 remain.

What Can Shoppers Look For

"A lot of people are looking for deals," says Lorraine Hutchinson, a retail analyst for Bank of America. "You don't want to put winter goods on the floor in late March so the off priced retailer will go buy them at a discount."

Expect to see higher-end brands that you normally don't see at off price retailers and outlet stores. Look out for deals in home decor, beauty, shoes, and clothes.

“Disruption creates a unique buying opportunity for off-price retailers, primarily for packaway inventory,” Hutchinson wrote in a February 1 research note (also authored by Melanie Nuñez). “As the supply chain disruptions persist, full-price retailers will need to decide whether or not to accept late orders.”

• Stores are accepting new merchandise daily so remain up-to-date by asking managers and sales associates about sales and special offers.
• If you see a deal, take advantage of it since it won't last.
• Shop for seasonal items now.
• Tackle your shopping based by day and category (e.g., Saturdays shop home decor)
• Products will be arriving daily so create a budget.
