Finally the 76 gas station in Middleburg is having their grand opening today and they are have a heck of a special:  $3.76 for a gallon of regular gas between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today only

They are located at the corner of Royal Pines Drive and Oakleaf Plantation Parkway.

Soon you will be able to fish from the Jacksonville beach fishing pier.  The  pier is scheduled to to reopen soon.  It’s seems like forever ago since the pier has been closed due to damage sustained from hurricane Matthew and hurricane Irma.
Here is a preview of the newly constructed pier.

Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier to reopen soon.  

The USS Orleck will welcome visitors on board soon.  Jacksonville's new floating Naval Museum arrived in Jacksonville earlier March.   
The ship is moored  temporary at the Jacksonville Riverwalk near the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel until it moved to his new home later this year.  

The ship was named after Lieutenant Joseph Orleck, Commanding Officer of USS Nauset, killed in action on 9 September, 1943 during World War II, & posthumously awarded the Navy Cross.

The USS Orleck was instrumental during the Vietnam and Korean war.  She fired more than 11,000 rounds during the Vietnam war, earning the nickname ”Grey Ghost of the Vietnam Coast” & netting an astonishing 14 battle stars.

 bridge and the Florida Blue building are lit up in rainbow colors for Pride month  as they show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Heavy police presence at Wawa in Oakleaf this evening as reports of multiple shots fired in the area of Wawa.  This store is located at 8251 Old Middleburg Rd.
Everyone should avoid the area as investigations are on going. Many officers are reportedly actively in the neighborhoods surrounding the area.

Art In The Park 2022 at James Weldon Johnson Park on Saturday, March 26th was a blast with so many talented artist. This is my shot one minute recap.
The theme for this year was “My Wish for Jacksonville - Celebrating the Next 200 Years" in honor of Jacksonville's upcoming bicentennial celebration! Shoot-out to every who had a hand in making the event a success.

30 seconds recap of DT Jax Art Walk 1st June 22

Plan on some delays starting on May 31, as all lanes heading northbound on Blanding Boulevard will be shifted overnight Tuesday, May 31.  This shift in traffic is expected to be between between Allie Murray Road and Long Bay Road.

Expect a shift in traffic heading north on Blanding Boulevard beginning May 31

Niagara Bottling LLC is scheduled to open a 50,000-square-foot beverage manufacturing facility in Middleburg.  The $70 million facility will create more than 50 new jobs in the community, but at what cost to our environment.  

I have a few concerns about this plan and the affects it will have on the surrounding communities.

New 76 station to open Oakleaf.  Soon if you live in the Oakleaf area along FL-23, you will no longer have to drive as far to fill up.  Daybreak Market plans to open a 76 gas stations in Oakleaf.  
Looks like construction are almost completed and the final touches are being put on.  
This is a shot video I shot just to show the location as well as the progress so far.

This video is my recap of Art Walk from Feb, 4th 2022.  

Art walk is held ever first Wednesday of Each Month from 5-9 p.m. in Downtown Jacksonville.  It's an event to celebrate the community’s deep pool of creative talent.  
The event is spread out throughout three spots: James Weldon Johnson Park, The Jessie (duPont Center) and Vagabond Flea at The Breezeway at Vystar Tower, and all the businesses and public art between.

First Wednesday Art Walk | Downtown Jacksonville

If you have never visited Another Broken Egg, I think it's about time you do.  I am always looking to try new foods so when a friend suggested that I try the Chicken & Waffles at Another Broken Egg, I jumped at the opportunity to see what the hype was all about.  
I drove about thirty minutes to one of their locations here in Jacksonville.  I can honestly say that the drive was well worth it for the chicken and waffles.  
This video was from a visit with my wife and son to Another Broken Egg on Stanton street in Jacksonville.  This is just a fun shot video i put together of our experience.  
We went there on a Sunday so which we had not done before, so we experience a little longer than usual wait time. Other than that the service was great and the food amazing.
