For our anniversary we checked out Temaki Den founded by Toshi Kizaki who also owns the iconic Sushi Den in Denver, Colorado. It is known as a no-frills hand roll and aburi sushi bar offering a more casual and approachable alternative to the high-end sushi experience, without sacrificing quality or freshness. I would say that the atmosphere is a bit more casual, but definitely not the price tag. It is located inside the Source Hotel marketplace where a variety of other restaurants co-exist.

A new wine bar concept is in town! This takes wine tasting to a whole new level. Dionysus has over 200 wines to choose from and they’ll give you a card for you to choose & pour your own wine. The prices are shown above each wine and you can choose the size of your pour. Insert your card and place your glass below the spout of the wine you choose. Press the button next to the size of pour you’d like. The amount is added to your card and at the end of your meal you give it to your server who will then add it to the rest of your tab. It’s a fun and interactive way to try new wines! They also have a full bar and I really enjoyed their Espresso Martini.

Date night at Bao Brewhouse in Denver, Colorado! It's a hip, buzzy bi-level restaurant and bar serving regional Chinese fare in a funky bar & a themed dining room. Such a cute place and the decor is nothing like Denver has seen. We sat in the "tap room" where the vibes and service is just like in the market streets of China, or your favorite local brewery. Neons, graffiti murals, and a floating dragon are what you see as you are sitting in this lively setting.
