Who Has The Tastiest Diner In Santa Fe, New Mexico?

Cameron Eittreim

Diner food is the pinnacle of the American culinary scene. There was a time when diners were the glue that held this country together, as travelers from abroad could find solace in a warm meal at a local diner. Another great thing about the diner is that it is traditionally a 24/hour operation, which means you can eat anytime, even in the middle of the night. When you've been on the road for a long time, nothing beats finding somewhere safe and warm to have a cup of coffee or a meal.

Santa Fe, New Mexico is one of the travel destinations that you will pass if you are going across the country. The city also has a unique diner scene, which includes many well known restaurants. I had to try an authentic New Mexico diner before I left town. While I wasn't able to visit every diner in Santa Fe, I obviously did visit two that caught our eye. The food was delicious, and if you are going to be in Santa Fe, I highly recommend these spots.

Joe's Dining

Joe's Dining is more than just your average run of the mill diner. This diner has an authentic American menu, and they are serving locally sourced ingredients to the masses. The menu has all the items that you are used to getting in a diner. Whether you want a healthy entree or some classic comfort food, you will find it at Joe's. The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting, there is a definite Tuscan feel throughout the dining room.

The BBQ Baby Back Ribs are well worth checking out, as they combine some of the best flavors you'll have. The meat is falling off the bone, and the sauce is made in house. The side dishes for all of the menu items are also quite delicious. The amount of fresh ingredients used in the menu is definitely above average. The staff here is friendly, and you will feel welcomed every time you come here to eat.

Need a quick tune-up when you are in Santa Fe? You can go to the tune-up cafe and enjoy some of the great food. The Tune-Up Café is a unique diner in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The menu is more unique than you'd expect in a diner, it has food with an El Salvador flare to it. The salmon tacos are a one of a kind entree that you have to try at least once. If you've never had a fish taco that uses salmon, then you are missing out.

Save as draftThe other menu items consist of some of the classic favorites you'd expect, such as cheese burgers, sandwiches and breakfast items. The service is quite fast and the food is always made fresh to order. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you will feel welcomed every time you come into the restaurant. The Tune-Up Cafe is one of the most unique dining establishments in Santa Fe, and you won't be sorry to visit this spot.
