Who Has The Tastiest Pizza In Santa Fe, New Mexico?

Cameron Eittreim

Pizza is one of life's joys, and every city and town has their own unique take on pizza. Santa Fe, New Mexico is a beautiful place situated in one of the busiest sections of the United States. That means there are many unique cuisines and travelers that come through here. You might not think of Santa Fe as a pizza place by any means, but there are quite a few unique spots. The great thing about the pizza places I visited here is that there was a unique Tuscan flare to the food.

These are a few places that I decided to stop at when we were in Santa Fe. The smell of the pizza was resonating from both restaurants, and I knew I was in for something special. It's true that the pizza you'll eat in Santa Fe is unlike anything else you'll experience. If you are ever in Santa Fe to visit, then you need to stop at these two delicious pizza spots.

Upper Crust Pizza Downtown

329 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87501

When you first walk up to Upper Crust Pizza, you know that you are in for something special. The unique exterior of the restaurant is covered with a Tuscan stucco style. The food is delicious, and the menu is made up of original items. I decided to get the vegetarian pizza when I was here, and it came complete with garlic butter sauce and an extra-thick crust.

The crust is always the most important thing to me when it comes to a pizza. But the fresh vegetables also add to the wonderful flavor. The rest of the menu has the usual favorites you'd expect, such as calzones and salads. The outdoor seating is well positioned, and nothing beats coming here to enjoy some pizza on a nice day.

Lino Trattoria and Pizzeria

204 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501

This is another delicious pizzeria that I stumbled upon when I was in Santa Fe. The authentic look and feel of the restaurant immediately sucked me into the atmosphere. The menu was laid out with meat-based pizza options and a vegetarian menu. I like the option of having a vegetarian menu, because you don't always want to be confined to a meat-based pizza. Sometimes the vegetarian options are also better tasting.

The Margherita pizza was a must-have for me. I like this type of pizza anyway, and the fact that it was an option here was great. The fresh ingredients include roma tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese, and the blend of these flavors is exceptional. Topped off with organic basil, you can't go wrong with this flavor combination. The Burrata Pizza is also a delicious pizza that uses fresh burrata and porcini mushrooms to make a beautiful flavor combination. This is one of the best pizza places in Santa Fe, in my personal opinion.
