Who Has The Tastiest Ribs In Santa Fe, New Mexico?

Cameron Eittreim

The restaurant scene in Santa Fe, New Mexico is one of the best in the country. There are so many unique restaurants to choose from, and there is nothing like visiting this culturally diverse area. Barbecue is popular everywhere you'll go, but finding the right kind of barbecue can be tough. Anyone can coat some grilled meat with sauce, but it takes a true pit master to cultivate a piece of barbecue that will keep you coming back for more.

These are a few of the rib joints I visited when I was in Santa Fe. The taste was delicious, and the unique flavorings had me on the edge of my seat. When it comes to choosing a great place to have come ribs, I also look at the side dishes. I only went to a few places when I was in Santa Fe, because I enjoyed the sights a lot. These places caught my attention because of the great food and the unique atmosphere.

Well, the name of this place is the first thing that caught my attention. But don't fret, because this is a family friendly barbecue place that serves up some of the most delicious ribs in Santa Fe. I had the pork spare ribs, and the meat literally fell off the bone. The baked mac and cheese is served in a bowl, and you can tell that the ingredients were fresh. The brisket was also good tasting, with succulent meat and sauce that wasn't exponentially spicy.

The staff at the Cowgirl restaurant is among the friendliest that you'll encounter. The menu is well laid out and full of unique options to choose from. There is also a unique drink menu with the usual favorites you'd like, such as fresh lemonade and sweet tea. If you are ever in Santa Fe and want some delicious ribs, you should definitely stop at the Cowgirl.

Whole Hog Café

Another great place to grab some ribs in Santa Fe is the Whole Hog Café. The unique outpost is known for serving delicious barbecue and side dishes. Now the name of the restaurant would lead you to think they are only serving up pork over here. But there is more to the menu, such as beef brisket and even chicken.

The good sized ribs are priced well for how much food you get. The amber glaze used on top of the ribs has a delicious taste. The ribs are grilled to perfection, with just enough crunch in the skin to make them wonderful tasting. The side dishes are also fresh, the mashed potatoes were so hot that you could see the steam rising. If you want to try some delicious ribs, stop at the Whole Hog Café.
