Who Has The Tastiest Pizza In Nashville, Tennessee?

Cameron Eittreim

No matter where you go in the country, there will always be a unique taste to the pizza in that area. Some cities and towns have staples that have been in business for decades, while others have new offerings that are popping up and innovating an old classic. Nashville, Tennessee has such a strong tourism scene that there are many restaurants to choose from.

But one of the best foods that you can eat while out for a night on the town in Nashville is the pizza. I am particular about my pizza, there is a certain way that I want it to taste. I don't want the crust to be dry, and I generally prefer extra cheese and sauce. These are just particulars that I have built up after decades of eating pizza. So while on my latest trip to Nashville this summer, I decided to single out two pizza parlors that we stopped at and enjoyed.

DeSano Pizza Bakery

115 16th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203

Just the name of this place made me think I was in an old neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. DeSano Pizza Bakery has been a product of the Nashville community for a while now. This is not a large chain restaurant, but there are six unique locations scattered across the country, including two in Nashville.

The restaurant bakes a Neapolitan style pizza, which has a thin crust and beautiful ingredients carefully placed on the top. The crust was so good tasting with a soft hint of butter, and the cheese was definitely fresh. The menu is simple, and the choices aren't hard to choose from. You just need to give the pizza chance, and you won't be sorry.

Pizza Perfect

1602 21st Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212

The second most intriguing pizza place I went to was Pizza Perfect in Nashville. The menu is made up of entirely gluten-free pizza options. If you've been trying to switch your diet up, then you can't go wrong with these menu choices. The Gluten Free Hunter's Choice is a great pizza with Pepperoni, Ham, Sausage, Beef, Bacon, and Mozzarella.

Even though the crust is gluten-free, there is no loss in the flavor, and I have to say the pizza has a nice clean taste. The calzones here are also delicious, and there is quite a selection to choose from. There are also salads that are made fresh to complement your pizza. All-in-all, this place provides a delicious and healthy lunch and dinner option.
