Who Has The Tastiest Hot Dogs In Houston, Texas?

Cameron Eittreim

Hot dogs are one of life's true pleasures, and there is no single way to make a hot dog. Every city and town in America has a hot dog specific to that locale, and Houston, Texas is no different. The hot dogs being served here are not missing that bold Texas flavor. Everything is bigger in Texas, and the same can be said for the hot dogs. Whether you enjoy a coney dog, a chili dog, or even a cheese dog, you will find it here.

Finding a hot dog restaurant is my go-to option when I am traveling with the kids. This is the one food item they can all agree on. There are dozens of hot dog places to choose from in Texas, but these are a few spots that I have found in Houston. These places are family friendly, and the selection of unique hot dogs should not be underestimated. Check out the hot dog places that I enjoy eating at when I am in Houston, Texas.

Good Dog Houston

903 Studewood St, Houston, TX 77008

With a name like this restaurant, it has to be good, right? Well, that's what my thinking was when we decided to stop by here. The choice was simple, because we wanted hot dogs, and the menu looked delicious. I had a coney dog with all the fixings on top. Everything here is fresh, and the hot dogs are bun length and of high quality. There are unique side dishes, such as the beer cheese soup, which I had, and it was delicious.

The majority of the ingredients here are homemade, and the buns are fresh. There are other unique options on the menu, such as the cheese dog, which the kids will love. The counter-serve aspect of this restaurant is unique and helps you get in and out in a hurry. If you want a quick hot dog that tastes great, this place should be at the top of your list. They also brew local craft beer here, which is a nice touch.

Dog Haus

1096 Enclave Pkwy, Houston, TX 77077

Want to try a more gourmet option for a hot dog? Well, then you've got to try Dog Haus in Houston. The menu is tailored to fit every taste, whether you are a vegetarian or want some good old meat. There are other unique options such as the chachi, which is a burrito filled with a gooey egg, and many other fresh breakfast ingredients. But let's be honest, it's the hot dogs you came here for.

I had the bacon wrapped hot dog, which was served on a massive bun with an assortment of fresh ingredients. The hot dogs are cooked to perfection, and they have that nice pop when you bite into them. This is important when it comes to choosing a hot dog restaurant. If the hot dog has a nice pop to it then you know that you are in for something special. The food at Dog Haus is unique, and you shouldn't skip on this great hot dog stop.
