Fort Smith, Arkansas is a city that borders right on the edge of Oklahoma. The city has a rich history and culture, making it one of the most underrated travel destinations. The city holds the annual Steel Horse Motorcycle Rally every summer, and there are many live concerts. There is also the pub crawl, which is an event that celebrates Saint Patrick's Day. With all this great stuff going on, Fort Smith must have some great burger spots, right?

Brick Town Brewery

318 Garrison Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901-1930

When you first cross the Garrison bridge into Fort Smith from Oklahoma, you will see the Brick Town Brewery on your right. The hip and happening spot is home to some of the best tasting burgers and local beer that you will ever have. Fort Smith has quite the craft brewing scene, and Brick Town Brewery is at the forefront of this movement. When we arrived here, I was taken aback by the long list of beers to choose from. The food menu is equally impressive, with everything from burgers to nachos to choose from, as well as a kids menu.

I wanted something out of the ordinary, so I went with the Bleu Ribbon Burger. The thing that caught my eye about this burger was the unique buffalo blue cheese sauce. The flavor of the all-Angus patty was extraordinary, and the french fries were thick cut, which I prefer. The other options on the menu are delicious, including the nachos and various dessert items. If you are going to be in Fort Smith and want to dine somewhere truly unique, you need to check out the Brick Town Brewery.

JJ's Grill & Chill

5400 Phoenix Avenue Suite 1, Fort Smith, AR 72903

Another unique Fort Smith institution is JJ's Grill & Chill. Located on the busy stretch of Phoenix Avenue near the Target Pavillion, this is a place that offers a great selection of food. If you enjoy live music and a lively atmosphere, then JJ's is definitely the place for you. The menu has all the usual fare that you'd expect, such as burgers, sandwiches, and more. I enjoyed the live music when we went there, and there are many local bands that perform.

I had the Western Burger, as it seemed like the logical choice, and it was served alongside some delicious sweet potato french fries. There are plenty of dessert options to choose from, and the beer selection is also quite long. If you enjoy live music and want a fresh tasting burger, then you can't go wrong at JJ's Grill & Chill. The place offers some of the best food you'll have, and the prices aren't outrageous either.
