No matter which way you slice it, there is nothing better than a good burger. Whether it be a cheeseburger, bacon burger, or a combination of the two. A good burger will make your trip worth it no matter how far the distance. Every locale has that one place that locals and visitors alike point to as the must-see burger stop. Being that Orlando is such a massive tourist destination, the influx of new restaurants is astounding.

But I like to visit the tried and true food destinations, the places that need no introduction, and when it comes to my burgers, I like them simple and delicious. A good burger to me utilizes fresh vegetables and a patty that is at least 75% lean. For others, that combination could be completely off-putting, but for me, the judge, the burger, the better it is. I don't just visit Orlando to go to Walt Disney World, I visit other attractions like the historic Church Street Station, and in between that action a good burger never hurt either. These are some of my favorite local spots in Orlando to grab a great burger.

Graffiti Junktion

700 E Washington St, Orlando, FL 32801

There are some restaurants that invoke such a sense of community that you can't help but visit them. Graffiti Junktion is a place like that, where you'll feel welcome no matter when you go there. This place is serving up some of the most delicious burgers I've ever had in my life. The sheer flavor and depth of the recipes is what hooked me on going here. The Angus beef patties are made fresh to order, and if you've never experienced what a fresh burger tastes like, you are sorely missing out.

Likewise, the menu has the usual fare that you'd expect from a traditional burger place, like beer battered onion rings, bacon burgers, wedges, and of course soft serve ice cream. The dining room is just as funky as the name would imply, but that is a good thing. You see, going to Graffiti Junktion is an experience in itself. You won't find another burger place with this distinct Florida flare and attitude. Graffiti Junktion is by far one of the most unique burger places you'll find in your travels through Orlando.

The Whiskey

7563 W Sand Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819

Perhaps you enjoy a more upscale dining experience when it comes to getting a burger. If that is the case then paying a visit to The Whiskey is in tall order. The restaurant is designed around the foodie lifestyle, and all of the dishes are prepared with a distinct style to them. The burgers are especially a work of art, from the first time that you taste one. The Angus beef does a great job of providing a delicious flavor that you might not otherwise have in a burger.

If you want something out of the ordinary, you should try the burger with brie and pears. You might not think that fruit and a burger would be a worthwhile combination, but it is. The fresh pairing of the fruit with the cheese, coupled with the top quality meat in the burger, makes a taste combination out of this world. For a more common choice, the french fries are also made fresh to order with real potatoes, and the taste of those is extraordinary.
