If there is a place in Arkansas with a unique culture and feeling, it's Fayetteville. The city is home to the Razorbacks sports franchise and the University of Arkansas. But the community is also something that makes the city special. There are an abundance of local shops and dining experiences that you can stop by and check out when you are in town. The close proximity to Branson, Missouri, makes Fayetteville a logical travel destination along the way.

We passed through Fayetteville on our way to Branson this summer and stopped at a few rustic home furnishing stores. It was always a dream of mine to have a cabin in the woods. Obviously that isn't the case when you live in an urban city like Fort Smith, so I decided to try and decorate a rustic theme at home. Venturing outside of your own town to find rustic home pieces can be a fun and unique adventure. There is just something about the rustic look that's comforting, especially in the Winter.

Rustic Home Furniture

5320 W Sunset Ave #181, Springdale, AR 72762

If the name of the store isn't obvious enough, then the sales floor will give you an idea of what this store is about. Rustic Home Furniture is located on Sunset Ave in Springdale, which is right outside of Fayetteville. If you are willing to make the extra drive out of your way, there are many rustic goods to choose from.

The thing that stood out to me were the custom wood tables, which appeared hand carved. The quality was stunning, and the coffee tables are even more distinctive. But if you don't want to spend a lot of money, there are also dozens of rustic lamps and pieces of wall art to choose from.

Precious Cargo

2908 E Huntsville Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72701

This store is right in the heart of Fayetteville, and the name is one of the things that caught my eye originally. The showroom floor is well laid out and decorated with many pieces to showcase design themes that you could use in your own home. Many pieces go with each other as well, such as the end tables, lamps, and even accent pieces.

The selection of sofas and loveseats is also outstanding quality. Everything in this store is American made, and yes, you can pick it up right off the showroom floor. Perhaps the thing that caught my eye the most was the stunning selection of area rugs to choose from. Usually area rugs can be pricey, but that wasn't the case this time.

Back at the Ranch

5320 W Sunset Ave, Springdale, AR 72762

I know it's another entry in Springdale, but I had to stop at this place. The name of it caught my eye as with the other location. Back At the Ranch makes no claims about being anything other than a rustic furniture store. From the time you walk into the store, you are greeted by an impressive selection of rustic furniture to choose from.

There is everything from hand carved wooden coffee tables to art pieces that you can put on your wall. The prices aren't bad either, the wooden coffee table I noticed was such a high quality piece and anywhere else it would be like $500.00 dollars. Instead, here at Back At the Ranch, the piece was only $190.00, and the rest of the store is reasonably priced.
