Earlier this July, we went on a family vacation to Branson, Missouri. For those unfamiliar with this city, it is one of the best family travel destinations around. The remarkable thing about Branson is that it's centrally located and inexpensive. You can make a day trip out of your visit or stay for a week, like we did, and there are plenty of things to do.

The remarkable thing about Sushi is it's fresh and healthy. Although finding an excellent sushi restaurant can seem like the impossible challenge, it is possible. These are a few spots that we ventured out to during our summer trip. The prices were reasonable, and the sushi was pleasing.

Wakyoto Japanese Steak & Sushi

2005 W 76 Country Blvd Ste 201, Branson, MO 65616-2274

Wakyoto is a fairly small and well appointed sushi restaurant with a diverse selection of sushi to choose from. I don't like craziness when it comes to choosing a sushi roll, so I generally go for the more traditional dishes. The Vegas Roll had the right amount of rice and vegetables, and all the fish is so fresh you'd imagine that you are in a coastal town. The Alaska Roll was also an excellent choice if you want a sushi dish with a little bit of zing.

Momo Sushi and Grill

120 N Sycamore St, Branson, MO 65616-2420

We decided to go to two sushi restaurants when we were in town. Since we were staying for a week, it seemed natural to consider a few of them. Momo Sushi and Grill has an excellent blend of fusion cuisine and the more traditional sushi dishes. If you are taking children on your trip and want some sushi, then this is the better choice. You can choose a kids meal and still enjoy a delicious and fresh selection of sushi and hibachi to choose from.
