Every single day that I wake up here in the San Francisco bay area, I am reminded of just how lucky I am to live in a city that has so many wonderful Asian influences. Though it is interesting to think of exactly what has attracted people from the far east to this city by the bay, the result is that we can delight in some of the best Chinese food restaurants at which you will ever have the pleasure of dining. With so many traditional, authentic options to choose from, I have done some homework for you and tried out many of the local favorites. Below are three of the best Chinese food restaurants in all of San Francisco.

When I take a walk down Irving Street, there are so many Chinese restaurants to choose from that I can see how someone may have trouble choosing between them. I will save you some time and recommend you head directly to San Tung. Once you enter, there will be a few more tough choices for you such as what to order, the wings or the noodles? The safe answer is to order both. Their dry fried wings are sauteed in a spicy sauce. I have heard many people say that their wings is THE best wings in the Bay Area. Don't believe me? Go try them out yourself and comment what you think. Those who have tried it? I dare you to name another restaurant that makes better Chinese wings. I'll wait. As for their noodles, their combinations can’t be beat. Whatever you choose, you are sure to leave with a full stomach and a smile.

I believe that if a Chinese restaurant can stand out as one of the best in Chinatown, then it certainly has to make my list. Located on Kearny Street, they offer traditional Cantonese-style dining. I insist that anyone who tries R & G Lounge, treat themselves to any one of their amazing seafood options. Their amazing crab with salt and pepper is one of their signature dishes and it is probably one one of the best prepared crabs I've ever had. Crispy and delicious, with the meat being very juicy. In addition to dine in and take out, their location also offers a private dining room for large events so it would be perfect to enjoy your meals without outside noise.
What I recommend: salt and pepper crab, Peking duck, R & G special beef

Another standout in Chinatown, Hunan’s Home, located on Jackson Street, also deserve a spot on the podium. Located in San Francisco for over 35 years, this place is a consistent favorite among many San Franciscans. I start with a bowl of hot and sour soup before treating myself to their sizzling prawns. This dish is served in a chili sauce with minced pork. If you have a large party or special occasion to plan, they have that covered as well. They offer a banquets menu that any invited guests are sure to love.
