High Heat Temperature Will Continue Across The US All Weekend

The National Weather Service said Americans are to expect hot weather across the US over the weekend. Excessive heat warnings extend from the Southwest to the East Coast. And could affect 85 million Americans. (source)

So what might the weather look like in your region?

The heat will be intense in many big cities and other upper parts of the Eastern Seaboard. Locals can expect high daily temperatures for long stretches. Here are the cities most likely to see temperatures above the 90s:

  • Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
  • New York City
  • Virginia and Massachusetts

Central US

Over the weekend, the states in this area will get little relief from the heat. The unforgiving warmth of Texas and the southern Plains will continue. These cities will endure high temperatures in the 90s and lower 100s.

  • Kansas City
  • San Antonio, Austin, and Houston


The Weather Service has warned people to prepare for heat-related illnesses. This warning is essential for people working or taking part in outdoor activities. Forecasters predict high temperatures of 113 to 115 for these two cities:

  • Las Vegas
  • Phoenix
