The scheme affected shoppers who bought gift cards worth $500 and $1,000. The purchases were between 2016 and 2017. Walmart froze all the alleged gift cards. But the US Department ruled the company should also refund the affected persons.
Each affected individual will receive a refund totaling the gift card value. You are eligible if you bought a gift card between April 2016 and July 31, 2017.
The deadline to apply for the $500 and $1,000 refunds is July 14, 2023. The amount might be lower if you have already received payments via a bank or another source. Only submit if you are eligible or if you have proof of the gift card purchase. It is a remission payment.
