Shepherd Of The Hills Outdoor Drama: Branson's Original Show!!

For over 60 years the Shepherd of the Hills has made its home in Branson, Missouri and into the hearts of all those who visit to watch the play. Originally inspired by the Ozark way of life and the people who once called this area home, the play was adapted from a book by Harold Bell Wright, who stayed in the Ozarks and found its impact to be life changing. His book went on to change the lives of many and was adapted into a screenplay and play which is performed annual. But watching the play you learn quickly that the very values expressed in the program still ring true in Branson today as family members have spent generations telling the story from the eyes of the performers and staff which work throughout the grounds. Watching this is more than a treat, it is an experience of what it is to be a part of the Ozarks, if only for an evening.
