Wonders Of Colorado: Hanging Lake
Colorado is the home of more than a few natural wonders. With mountains scaling in seemingly every direction and beautiful forest abounding it is easy to get lost in the beauty of the state. However, every so often you come across a place that takes a bit of work to get there and because of that it appears untouched by human hands and a piece of natural perfection. Hanging Lake is one of those kind of places. Located just a few miles outside of Glenwood Springs this lake suspended on a remote mountain flows turquoise blue. It was discovered initially by a man seeking to find a piece of land to homestead, he discovered this and made it his own. It wasn't until 1910 that it became a part of Glenwood Springs and in 2011 it was declared a National Natural Landmark.
