Located in the Audubon Park neighborhood in Orlando, Florida, The Owl's Attic is a one of a kind, nostalgia inducing vintage store. From hand crocheted tops with whimsical mushroom designs to glassware from the early 1980's, there is something for everyone to ogle over.
One of my favorite things about this shop is the fact that they highlight local artists and small businesses. In addition to vintage finds you will find locally crafted jewelry and soap, hand made clothing, and even pottery. There is a strong sense of community and support in this spot, and consequently I feel quite pleased to be a patron here. Some of my favorite purchases are the over sized stickers they offer, which go great on the adventure van we use for traveling. I purchased one with a colorful rainbow and an Audubon logo, and another that simply said Orlando. Fun purchases for someone like me, who loves a chance to display pride for the city that raised me.
As compact as this store is, I could spend hours looking through all of the treasures here. I love how both the old and the new products all tell unique stories. About their origins, about the lives that were lived with these relics, and about the people that crafted them. I may not be a big shopper, but when I do need to buy a gift, I would much rather give my money to a local, ethically sourced store like this. I absolutely recommend The Owl's Attic for any gift giving needs you may have. Happy shopping!
