H-E-B is expanding into North Texas.
According to an article from Axios Dallas, H-E-B’s second Collin County store opened in Plano at the corner of Preston Road and Spring Creek Parkway.
The company recently announced another location is planned for Fort Worth.
H-E-B has been buying land in North Texas for more than 20 years and has several locations in the region under its up-market gourmet brand, Central Market.
The company has also purchased land in other parts of Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denton. This expansion could be great news for North Texas shoppers as H-E-B has a popular house brand and some great prepared foods (think tortillas and queso).
The new competition has the potential to raise the quality of grocery stores across the area.
What do you think of more H-E-B stores in North Texas?
