Introduction
I write a lot about USPS. About their updates on prices, and when post offices decide to suspend their services, temporarily or permanently.
My latest article was about the suspension of post offices on Guam & Northern Mariana Islands.
On May 24, Typhoon Mawar is raging over the Western Pacific. It passed just north of Guam as a Category 4 storm, bringing hurricane-force winds and heavy rain.
USPS, 2023
Today, the USPS announced the suspension of a post office in Michigan.
Detroit Renaissance Center Post Office at 100 Renaissance Center, Suite 2-2101 will be closed between the first and second of June.
It's unknown why.
The following post offices nearby are open for business:
- Gratiot Station Post Office, 3434 Chene St., 48207-9998
- Detroit GWY Post Office, 1401 W. Fort St., Rm. 1006, 48233-9998
Conclusion
We don't know why the USPS has suspended service for this post office but as we're developing this story, I'll keep you updated if there are any new facts being released.
