Introduction
Dollar General is one of the biggest retailers in the United States.
I write a lot about these grocery stores like DG or Walmart and other local retailers. Last week, this Dollar General in North Dakota got fined around $2.5 dollars.
That's worrying. Because it's not the first time Dollar General is under fire.
But let's switch to something good now, because Dollar General has announced to file plans for opening a new location in Louisville, Kentucky.
Let's dive into it.
Dollar General, 2023
According to this article by WLKY, Dollar General has filed an application with Louisville Metro Planning & Design for a commercial alteration permit to establish a new store at 200 E. Broadway.
The proposed location sits within the Central Business District, right on the edges of Downtown, Old Louisville, Smoketown, and Phoenix Hill neighborhoods.
The company expects to receive a final decision regarding its application by the late fall of 2023, according to its current timeline.
That means that a lot of new jobs will be created and another store to get your groceries at.
