As of the year 2021, the United States Postal Service (USPS) has a total workforce of 516,636 career workers and 136,531 non-career employees.
According to the January 18 article "USPS Is Making Even More Changes to Your Mail, as of Sunday", the organization has decided to do away with its Priority Mail Regional Boxes as well as its prices.
"Effective Jan. 22, 2023, Regional Rate Boxes will be discontinued. After that date, the remaining Regional Rate Boxes can still be used for shipping, but they will be treated as weight and rate packages. Customers who currently use these boxes are encouraged to place orders before supplies are depleted."
