Growing up with his parents in Laterbiokorshie, Charles attended the Seven Great Academy in Dansoman and then furthered his high school education at the Winneba Secondary school.

He then completed his high school education in another school in the Volta Region.

All along, Shatta Wale has consistently shown interest in Arts thus featured in a National Theatre Drama series "By the fireside".

As much as Shatta came from a well-to-do family, he made sure that he lived in almost every ghetto in Nima. Which is how he became street credible.

Having constantly visited his Jamaican relatives in the United Kingdom with his dad, it was no surprise that he fell in love with the Jamaican culture.

Starting his music career in his first high school, his stage name was Doggy. The sensational artist has been hilarious for a while.

After school, he became Bandana and started making hits with the likes of Tiny around 2004.

With no explanation, Shatta Wale went missing.

We would later find out that after almost a decade, Shatta was in Jamaica. He went with this intention of learning the dancehall music from its root and assimilating the Jamaican culture and the language.

In 2013, he returned like Christ. He had now carefully rebranded himself as Shatta Wale with his record label SM Records.

He was now recognized as a Reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeats artist. He is equally a talented songwriter, sound engineer, and record producer.

Striving to do things differently now to achieve the goal he started over a decade ago, the dancehall artist went back to the place he recognized as his roots.

Shatta would constantly perform freely in the suburbs of Nima as much as he could. Already known there and with his street credibility, he gradually built a very loyal fan base. He made songs that these people could relate to.

Daily, he would drop new tracks on his social media pages to be downloaded for free. A great investment it seemed.

In 2014, he went on a tour in Canada and the United States.

By 2015, his hard work started to pay off as his songs started getting International recognition.

He toured Europe and got to perform on a big stage with the likes of p-square and Flavour.

By 2016, Shatta had two of his songs being used for a campaign by Ghana's two most popular political parties; NPP and NDC.

2017 had Nii ranking 27th in the C Hub's Most influential people of the year and has been appearing till present.

In 2018, he was awarded for his honourable contribution to the Reggae industry at the 37th Annual Chicago Music Awards.

So far, Shatta has gained massive success and has been the first dancehall artist to have won 8 awards at the 3 Music Awards Ceremony, a record he set in 2019.

Despite the father of one is controversial, his loyal streetwise fanbase has stuck with him through every beef.

The infinix brand ambassador as of 2021 is worth 11 million dollars per Forbes Magazine. This includes his 3 mansions and 9 cars which include a Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, a Range Rover, and a G-wagon.

There's one fact here, consistency. Shatta Wale's success teaches us not to change the goal but just the plan.

Going off as Bandana and coming back as Shatta Wale gave his career the boom it needed.

Secondly, his life teaches everyone else to be themselves. Not many like his attitude but he is loved by the greater population for his brutal honesty.

Never change the goal but the plan.

Be you, do you, and be happy. Perhaps, this sentence describes the ‘My Level’ crooner even better.
