Countries to visit when the pandemic is over

A lot of travel came to a halt when COVID-19 spread. Many countries closed their borders and went under lockdown. This made travel practically impossible. The pandemic is still putting travel on hold in many places around the world.

When people do get to travel again, they’ll need a list of places to visit. There are so many destinations to choose from, but here are ten countries and what makes each of them unique:

Spain

Spain is known for many things, but one aspect that’s truly something to fall in love with is its delicious food. There are plenty of fine-dining restaurants where you can breathe in the smells of the delectable cuisine and get a view of the beautiful scenery.

Spain also has a variety of fun festivals to attend at different times of the year, so research which ones sound the most entertaining before deciding on a day to go. One example is the Seville Festival that takes place in April. The weather is nice that time of year, too, so be sure to take seasons into consideration when planning your vacation.

New Zealand

New Zealand is a country that really does have it all. Get an escape from reality on the Great Barrier Island, have a relaxing soak in Maruia Springs, take a hike in Tongariro National Park, and so much more.

To explore your geeky side, plan a trip to the country where The Lord of the Rings was filmed. See the magic brought to life through the many mountain ranges, forests, glaciers, and even glowworm caves.

There’s also plenty of opportunity to learn about New Zealand’s Maori indigenous culture while you’re there. Within New Zealand exists a beautiful culture with a history and heritage that’s worth learning about first hand.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a small country, but it’s rich in delicious food, adventure, and culture. Costa Ricans often use the phrase “pura vida,” which means “pure life.” The welcoming people all over the country make this a perfect destination for your next vacation.

There is so much to explore in Costa Rica. For outdoors activities, there are beaches, rainforests, and plenty of biodiverse wildlife. Say hello to sloths, monkeys, macaws, and cute sea turtles.

For those who prefer the indoors and city life, there are a plentitude of options for you, too. Cities and downs are full of shops, restaurants, and cathedrals to explore.

Iceland

For those with a goal of seeing beautiful sights with spectacular views, Iceland could be the one that leaves you breathless. The country is a great place to see the majestic, celestial northern lights. The northern lights are also known as the aurora borealis.

For some excitement, visit Iceland’s volcanic landscapes. To see something unique, check out Iceland’s magical waterfalls. For some relaxation, take a dip in some of Iceland’s geothermal hot springs. There is so much to see in this country filled with natural beauty. It needs to be added to your bucket list of places to visit after the pandemic.

Japan

Japan is a country with a little bit of everything. For those who enjoy bigger cities, there are a variety of options such as Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. These cities are filled with malls, restaurants, art, shows, and so much more.

There are also other areas of Japan to explore that really make the country unique. One example of this is the vast amount of shrines and temples located all over the country. Visiting these is a great way to get an understanding of Japan’s culture and history.

Any time of year is a great time of year to visit Japan, but the country is also known for its cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are only in bloom for a short time in Japan each year, so springtime is a good time to go in order to see those.

Additionally, don’t miss out on the Shinkansen, or a high-speed bullet train. It’s a fast and fun way to travel throughout the country.
