Live music is back! Surviving two years of Covid mandates through New Jersey has music lovers ready to hear live tunes. For the most part, mask mandates have subsided for now. Our communities, coffee shops, and pubs are opening to infuse live music to enhance dining and entertainment experiences. Small businesses, in dire need of support, look to encourage patrons to partake in their offerings.
Currently, New Jersey has a population of 9.24 million people. This incredible state includes urban, suburban, and country living for its people. That being said, the variety of lyrics, beats, and styles is multifaceted. Music genres such as Rap, Rock and Roll, Jazz, Blue Grass, Classical, Hip Hop, Pop, Country, Heavy Metal, Soul, Blues, and individual creative styles are alive and well in this beautiful state.
NJ has birthed a host of iconic musicians including- but not limited to: Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Russ, Whitney Houston, Paul Simon, Gloria Gaynor, Frank Sinatra, Ice-T, The Four Seasons, Frankie Valli, Queen Latifah, Fugees, Ricky Nelson, Count Basie, My Chemical Romance, Misfits.
The diversity of its people and close proximity to New York City lends itself to creative outlets within reach. Culture, foods, arts, and language embrace musical expression. Coming together is a much-needed commodity in times of hardship around the globe.
