The term “Flea Market” originated in Paris, France. The word marché aux puces was given to a market that had second hand items. The original idea was that these items may contain fleas. The earliest English use of the term was in 1922 found in the Oxford dictionary of that time.

Berlin Farmers & Flea Market

This farmers and flea market services over 750 vendor spaces. Not only does it sell fresh local produce, it includes 70 unique stores as well. These include antique finds/ salvage, an amish meat market, furniture and vintage/new clothing. It services a variety of vendors and incredible refreshments as well.

Collingswood Auction and Flea Market

This unique auction and flea market services over 600 outdoor vendors. It has a large out-building which houses over 100 more booths and tables. The merchandise is both old and new. It serves the gamut of yard sale items, clothing, jewelry, furniture and antiques. Sport collectibles can be found in abundance.

Columbus Farmers Market

This market is the Delaware Valley’s oldest and largest flea market. The finds here include produce, seafood, meats, and baked goods. In addition, household fare, garden items and designer pieces including clothing are to be found. The small mall on the property encompasses two new buildings filled with a large variety of antiques and collectibles.

Cowtown Flea Market

This interesting market is open every Tuesday and Saturday all year long. The name brings visions of a western atmosphere and it is actually held at the Cowtown Rodeo. The wares include fresh meats, livestock, vintage items, produce, and newer merchandise. Vendors often join which provides a new experience for the consumers weekly.

The Grand Market Place

Spanish, Amish, Mexican and American foods are represented. You may simply use this market as a spa day since it hosts a nail salon and a coffee shop for your enjoyment.

New Egypt NJ Flea Market

This NJ Flea Market was founded in 1959. Through the generations it has brought books, antiques, tools, electronics and historical artifacts to many savvy consumers. It presently services over 40 shops which are located in original WWII barracks. They were brought to the site in the early 1970’s. This is surely an old time country market with unpaved trails throughout. There is also a coin and gold exchange on site.

New Meadowlands Flea Market

Founded in 1991, this market features an array of goods for the buyer. New merchandise in fashion, jewelry, electronics, literature, entertainment and games can be found here. In addition, many garage sale items are found with vendors purchasing weekly spaces in this Flea Market. Fresh produce along with a variety of numerous food trucks serve the community at large.
