Slasher Attacks Man Outside Popular Bar in Greenwich Village

MANHATTAN - A man was slashed in the neck outside a popular Greenwich Village bar on Black Friday, the NYPD said. Cops are trying to determine the motive for the vicious attack.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the bundled up suspect outside the Red Lion bar on Bleeker and Thompson Street.

At around 5 am on November 24, a 33-year-old man was standing in front of the Red Lion when a man walked up to him and started arguing. Cops said without warning the suspect pulled out sharp object and slashed the man across the neck.

The victim suffered a large laceration to the neck and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot on Bleecker Street. He is described as a male between the ages of 20 and 30 with a light complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, white sneakers and a black face mask only exposing his eyes.
